The ski resort is located just outside Oppdal town center, with easy access from the train station.
The resort is connected by crossings and lifts, allowing you to combine high-mountain skiing with more relaxed slope runs and tricks in the terrain park.
Kvitfjell comes with snow-guarantee
In the heart of Gudbrandsdalen, 40 kilometers north of Lillehammer, lies beautiful Kvitfjell, known for its varied groomed slopes ranging from children’s areas to Olympic-standard runs. SJ NORD’s trains stop just fifty meters from the ski lifts and slopes, with a short walk to the ski lockers and the warming hut for changing clothes.
Kvitfjell is also a well-known venue for the Alpine Ski World Cup, making it a favorite among many ski enthusiasts. On Kvitfjell’s three mountainsides, you’ll find a wide selection of hotels, cabins, apartments, and restaurants for those who want a longer stay.
From Oslo, the train ride to the slopes at Kvitfjell takes only two and a half hours, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenic views without stress. The train has plenty of space for luggage and ski equipment, making the journey easy and comfortable.
Train and shuttle bus to Hafjell
Travel climate-smart to Hafjell by taking the train to Hunderfossen and then a shuttle bus to Hafjell. The bus connects with trains arriving at Hunderfossen at 10:11, 12:10 (except Saturdays), and 16:12.
Dramatic mountains in Åndalsnes
Towering, steep, and dramatic mountains await you when you step off the train in Åndalsnes. You can travel to Romsdalen by train from both Oslo and Trondheim, arriving right in the heart of an impressive landscape of fjords and mountains. The Rauma Line is one of several gateways to this area, which is perfect for everyone from seasoned mountain enthusiasts to those new to winter adventures.
Blånebba and Kirketaket are among the region’s classics – but Store Vengetind offers more challenging terrain, making it well-suited for experienced ski enthusiasts. These mountain peaks are located in Åndalsnes.
Well-groomed slopes at Bjorli Ski Resort
Halfway between Dombås and Åndalsnes, and surrounded by the majestic scenery of three national parks, you’ll find Bjorli Ski Resort – one of the first ski resorts in Norway to open each winter. With around 150 opening days per season, it’s perfect for both seasoned ski enthusiasts and beginners.
Bjorli Ski Resort offers eleven well-groomed slopes, with half of them ideal for beginners. There’s also a dedicated beginner area, so everyone can feel safe and comfortable while learning. In addition, you can enjoy a fun slope – perfect for taking a break from the more challenging runs. At Bjorli Ski Resort, you can try alpine skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing.
Getting here is easy: the Rauma Line runs several times a day and stops at Bjorli. Trains come from both Dombås – with connections to trains from Oslo and Trondheim – and from Åndalsnes.
