Finally: the Dovre line will open entirely again

After May 21st, train traffic on the Dovre line will resume once the Randklev bridge reopens!

Ever since the extreme weather “Hans” destroyed the Randklev bridge at Ringebu in August 2023, train traffic has been affected on several of our lines. Among others, there has been a bus replacement running on the Dovre line, and the Røros line has had fewer train departures as decided by the Norwegian Railway Directorate.

Fortunately from May 21st the Randklev bru will officially be open for train traffic again. Many of our customers have been looking forward to these news. The opening of the bridge means that there will be no futher bus replacement and the original train traffic will be restored.

The night train on the Dovre line, which has been deeply missed by our passengers, will begin to run again from May 22nd.

Good news also for the Røros line

Up until now, due to the freight traffic being redirected from the Dovre line to the Røros line, passenger departures have been severly reduced as decided by the Norwegian Railway Directorate. The Røros line will from May 21st finally be able to go back to its six daily departures to the delight of many travellers.

Welcome aboard!
