Due to the ongoing train driver strike affecting Vy, we are experiencing increased demand for travel between Oslo and Trondheim. We therefore recommend that all passengers planning to travel on our trains purchase their tickets in advance.
The train driver strike only affects Vy’s services. SJ Norge trains are operating as normal, but we expect higher passenger volumes than usual on some departures for as long as the strike continues. At Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), SJ customer service representatives will be available to assist passengers with travel information.
Purchase your ticket in advance
Some departures between Oslo and Trondheim may become fully booked, and passengers who arrive without a pre-booked ticket risk not being able to board. We therefore encourage all customers to plan their journey well in advance and secure their ticket before departure.
We would also like to remind passengers that our services will not change their stopping pattern while the strike is ongoing. This means:
- No de-boarding at Lillestrøm or Oslo Airport (Gardermoen) on trains travelling from Oslo S.
- No boarding at Oslo Airport (Gardermoen) or Lillestrøm on trains travelling towards Oslo S.
Passengers travelling to or from these stations must use alternative transport options.
