This is a site for information about changes in the train schedules that ocurred in the aftermath of the extreme weather “Hans” in August 2023, which affected the Dovre line, the Røros line, the Rauma line and subsequently also the Trønder line.
THE DOVRE LINE
The Dovre line is still partially closed after the extreme weather “Hans” and the train traffic cannot be fully restored at this time. We know opening the Dovre line in its entirety will take a long time. In addition to the collapsed bridge in Ringebu, there are several places along the railway line that need extensive reparations.

Bus replacement between Lillehammer and Dombås
We will drive the train between Oslo and Lillehammer, a bus replacement between Lillehammer and Dombås, and the train between Dombås and Trondheim. The trains will time their departures to correspond with the bus schedules.

BUS REPLACEMENT
- Bus replacement from Dombås 08:15 to Lillehammer 10:57. Thereafter there is the possibility for further transportation to Oslo with the Vy train.
- The train departure from Oslo S 10:02 will drive to Lillehammer and correspond with the bus replacement to Dombås. On Dombås you can connect with the Rauma line.

THE RØROS LINE
As a result of the Dovre line being still partially closed the The Norwegian Railway Directorate has decided to prioritize cargo train traffick over passenger traffick on the Røros line. From Monday September 4th the number of train departures will be reduced from six to two departures each way.

THE TRØNDER LINE
- CANCELED: the train departure from Oppdal 06:28 with arrival in Trondheim S 08:25is cancelled and replaced with the departure leaving Oppdal at 05:50, which arrives to Trondheim S 07:39.
- Passengers arriving with the southbound train to Støren 16:42 who wish further transport to Oppdal will be transported in a taxi that awaits the train at Støren.
